Our Lady of Maryknoll Hospital is situated in the Wong Tai Sin District in Kowloon. Founded by the Maryknoll Sisters in 1961, it became one of the public hospitals under the governance of the Hospital Authority in 1991. We are a Catholic hospital, and we emphasize total patient care with services that cater not only for the physical, but also for the social, psychological and spiritual needs of patients.

Scope of Services

Our scope of service includes in-patients, ambulatory and out-patient services. The Hospital has 236 beds.

a) In-patient and Ambulatory Care Services

In-patient services include Medical, Surgery, Gynaecology, Geriatrics, Anaesthesia and Palliative Care Unit. Ambulatory services include Electrodiagnostic Laboratory, Day Surgery, Minor Operating Theatre, Endoscopy Unit and Centre for Diabetes Education and Management.

b) Out-patient Services

Out-patient services include Family Medicine, Surgery, Medicine, Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Geriatrics, Ear, Nose and Throat (Limited to aged 14 or above attendee), Orthopaedics (Limited to referrals by OLMH doctors only), Chest and Hospital Authority Staff Clinic.

c) Allied Health Services & Other Services

In order to enhance the total treatment and rehabilitation of patients, the Hospital provides a comprehensive range of allied health services, including Radiodiagnosis, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Pharmacy, Pathology Laboratory, Dietetic and Medical Social Work. To care for the spiritual needs of patients, the Hospital has also set up a Pastoral Ministry Team. To promote community health, the Community Nursing Service and the Outreach Department provide a seamless healthcare in the community.

d) Community Specialist Services

The Hospital co-run a public-private interface programme on community specialist services with the Board of Governors. The services include both in-patients and out-patients services. The specialties include Medical, Surgery, Ophthalmology, Ear, Nose & Throat, Dermatology, Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, Dental, Optometry, Counselling and Physical Check-up services.
